You can use the LEXI Scheduler to plan and schedule captioning or translation events to run automatically and notify you about their progress. This allows you to work on other projects without needing to actively maintain or manage your events. The Scheduler provides you with powerful tools for viewing and finding your events quickly and easily.

Before you Begin
You must have an EEG Cloud account to configure LEXI Live. If you do not have an account or an active LEXI Live subscription, contact our sales team at sales@eegent.com or call 516-293-7472, option 2.
Be sure to configure iCap on your encoder before you use LEXI Live. See iCap Networking and Firewall Requirements for more information.
The Scheduler Window
To use the Scheduler, sign in to EEG Cloud (opens in a new tab) with your Cloud Services username and password, and then click LEXI Live or LEXI Translate, depending on your subscriptions, and click Scheduling from the top toolbar. The Scheduler window opens.
You can use the tools on this page to create new events, view existing events, and browse through past and future events. Pay special attention to these features, which correspond to the items highlighted in the image:
- Use these buttons to navigate through the calendar:
- Today: Returns to the current date.
- Back: Displays the previous month, week, or day, which you select with the options in item 4.
- Next: Displays the next month, week, or day, which you select with the options in item 4.
- Past events display in green bubbles. The system highlights the current date with a pale blue background. Hover your mouse pointer over an event to see basic information about it. Click the event to display detailed information.
- Upcoming events display in dark blue bubbles. Hover your mouse pointer over an event to see basic information about it. Click the event to display detailed information or edit the event.
- These set the calendar view mode: Month, Week, Day, or Agenda. Agenda displays a list of a calendar month's events.
- Click Schedule New Job to create and schedule a new event. For more information, see Scheduling LEXI Events.
- Click Filter Events, and then use the tools on the Filter Events window to find your events more easily. Click Confirm Filters to filter your events. Active filters display above the calendar, where you can click
to remove the filter.
- Keyword Search: Use specific words in the configuration to find your events.
- LEXI Instance(s): Select at least one of your LEXI instances to find events that are connected only to those instances.
- Translate Instance(s): Select at least one of your LEXI Translate instances to find events that are connected only to those instances.
- Show Only My Events: Displays only events created by the current user.
- Show Canceled Events: Displays events that a user canceled.

Filter by Tag(s): Enter tags one at a time, and press enter after each.

Use the Data to Display menu to select the information the scheduler displays in the calendar for each event. You can display the events' Title, Description, Creator, or Tags. The option you select applies to all events.
The Data to Display Menu - Use the Time Display menu to display the time with a 12 hour or 24 hour clock. The system stores this setting in your browser, not in your EEG Cloud account.
This remains in effect on the browser where you configured it until you reset your browser's cookies, clear its cache, or if you do not log into your EEG Cloud account from that browser for one year. You may also need to configure this when you use a different browser or computer (for example, Firefox vs Chrome), or log into EEG Cloud in your browser's private browsing mode.
Viewing and Editing Events
To edit upcoming events, click the event bubbles in the Scheduler window. The Event window opens and displays detailed event information. Use the tools in the window's top right corner to refresh, edit, and cancel the event.
- The Refresh tool
reloads the event and displays any changes made to it since you opened the event view.
- Click Edit
to open the event editor.
- Click Cancel
to remove the event from the schedule.
Editing Events
Follow these steps to edit a LEXI event:
- In the Event window, click Edit

Complete the fields on the Update Event form. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. This table describes all fields.
Setting Name Description * indicates required fields Event Title * A descriptive name for the event.
Example:
Astronomy Broadcast.Event Description Notes or other relevant information about the event. LEXI Instance(s) * Select at least one of your LEXI instances to connect to the event. To remove a selected instance, click
in the instance's bubble. Click the field's
icon to clear all selections.
Selected instances display in the Update Event window. Click the instance's name to visit its management page. Click
to edit the instance.
Note: Changes you make to the instance take effect immediately.For more information, see Viewing and Managing LEXI Instances.
Translate Instances Select any LEXI Translate instances that you want to connect to the event. To remove a selected instance, click
in the instance's bubble. Click the field's
icon to clear all selections.
Selected instances display in the Update Event window. Click the instance's name to visit its management page. Click
to edit the instance.

Timezone * Select the event's time zone. Event Start * Set the event's start date and time.
The Event Start time must be before the Event End time.Event End * Set the event's end date and time.
The Event End time must be after the Event Start time.
Tags Add tags, which you can use to organize and find your events. Enter tags one at a time, and press enter after each. Send Email You can choose to have the system send messages before the event start or after it ends. By default, the system sends these messages to the email associated with your EEG Cloud Services account. Click an address to remove it from the recipient list. To add a new address, enter it in the Email Address box, and then click Add Email. - Click Update Event. Your updates display immediately.
