Viewing and Managing LEXI Live Instances

LEXI Live is a live captioning service that you control through EEG Cloud. This document describes creating a new LEXI Live instance. LEXI Live instances apply automatic captions to iCap access codes and have settings that control the captions. These settings include the on-screen placement of captions and management of questionable language.

  1. Click the column headings to sort your instances. The heading text changes to bold when you sort the list on that column. An upward arrow to the right of the column name indicates an ascending sort (A to Z or increasing numbers), while a downward arrow indicates a descending sort (Z to A or decreasing numbers). Click the column heading again to reverse the current sort.
  2. Click the toggle in the State column to activate and deactivate your instance. You can use only one instance on a given access code at a time. If you start an instance on an access code that is already running an active instance, the system turns off the previous instance. This column also displays an icon indicating whether the instance is receiving caption data.
  3. Click the name of an instance to open its management page, where you can view and modify each instance. See Managing Instances.
  4. Use the tools in the right column to view, edit or delete instances.
    • Use the View icon to visit the instance's Managing Instances page. This is the same page as in callout 3.
    • Use the Edit icon to edit the instance.
