AI-Media released LEXI Local and LEXI DR version 6.0.0 on September 19, 2025. This document provides information about this release and includes instructions for upgrading your LEXI Local or LEXI DR to version 6.0.0 from version 5.2.0, 5.2.2, or 5.2.3.
Before You Begin
If your system is currently on a version earlier than 5.2.2, follow the upgrade steps in Version 5.2.2 / 5.2.3 Release Notes & Upgrade Instructions before continuing.
Highlights
New Features
- This release adds these options to the Schedule LEXI page of the web interface:
- The Data to Display menu allows you to configure the information displayed on the scheduler.
- Fullscreen expands the scheduler to fill your browser window, allowing you more visibility into your scheduled tasks.
- You can now Filter Events to search and sort your events by keyword or instance.
- Users can now use a dash
-to indicate a change in the person speaking. - With no languages installed, the system disables these features:
- LEXI instances
- Topic models
- Scheduled jobs
- Disaster recovery
- This release adds a disfluency filter, which removes hesitation sounds (ex. um, uh, etc.)..." These changes bring LEXI Local and LEXI DR in line with other AI-Media products. This feature is currently available for English only.
- We have implemented substitution lists for Topic Models.
Improvements
- Users will now receive alert messages if there are no languages installed on the system.
- We have streamlined the process for uploading software upgrade files.
Resolved Issues
- We have fixed an issue that prevented users from adding topic models:
- Users now see a warning message if the topic model is empty.
- Corrected an error that prevented overwriting words in a topic model when uploading a .csv file. With this release, users are able to successfully overwrite topic model lists, or append to the existing list.
- In previous versions, some users encountered errors when attempting to scheduling events. We have corrected this, and users are now able to schedule events properly.
- Some users received error messages when attempting to download log files that the system was not able to find. We have corrected this, and the system now ignores missing files.
Upgrading to Version 6.0.0
This upgrade brings any LEXI Local or LEXI DR currently running software v5.2.0 or later to v6.0.0 with all the latest changes. All user settings and logs remain untouched and accessible after the upgrade completes.
Recommendations
- Beginning with version 5.2.0, LEXI Local users are able to choose a primary language, which uses the system's GPU (graphics processing unit) for preferential processing and enhanced transcription accuracy when multiple LEXI instances use different languages. To use these features, LEXI Local Users must install GPU image files, as described in Choosing a GPU Image (LEXI Local Users Only).
-
The total upgrade time varies depending on your system scenario and needs. Please schedule the upgrade for a time that is convenient for your site’s operations. More information, including timing requirements, is in Upgrade Instructions.
LEXI Local Users: These time estimates include installation of all languages and GPU images. To reduce the time required for the full upgrade, only install the GPU language files that you need for your scenario.

Pre-Installation Notes
If you are updating a 5.2.0 or newer unit to the v6.0.0 you must download and install the Language Pack. Using a v6.0.0 system with outdated languages may cause some features to malfunction, or may block access to all features. The Upgrade Instructions provides links to download the following languages: English, Spanish, French, and German.
If you are upgrading to version 6.0.0 as an interim step before upgrading to version 6.1.0 or later, skip all language-installation steps. Later versions have their own language packs, which make it unnecessary to install those for this version.
Before upgrading your system, change all active instances to use English, Spanish, French or German. If your unit does not have any of those languages, please contact AI-Media Technical Support to receive further information or to receive a Language Pack that contains the additional languages you need.
