Included Hardware

  • Power cord (3.3 feet / 1 meter)
  • Quick Start Guide (this document)

Quick Setup

To set up your LEXI Viewer:

  1. Connect one end of the power cord to the Power 1 port on the back of your LEXI Viewer, plug the other end into an electrical outlet, and then press the power button at the left of the Power 1 port.
  2. Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of your unit and to your network.
  3. LEXI Viewer comes preconfigured with DHCP or Static IP enabled, depending on your region. To configure or change your network settings:

    • Static: Use the control pad on the front panel to navigate to System Set-up > Network > IPV4 > Set Config > Static, then assign a static IP address, netmask, gateway address, and DNS servers, and then press the green checkmark to save. Use three-digit numbers for each portion of the address, for example, 192.168.001.010.
    • DHCP: Use the control pad on the front panel to navigate to System Set-up > Network > IPV4 > Set Config > DHCP, and then press the green checkmark to save. Your network’s DHCP server assigns an IP address automatically.

Note: We recommend placing your LEXI Viewer behind your network’s firewall.

  4. LEXI users only: Configure LEXI to generate captions and configure your firewall (proxy, etc.) to allow outbound connections to https://eegcloud.tv, port 443. For more information, refer to the iCap Firewall guide (see the QR code above).
  5. Connect SDI video. Output captions display on the SDI video output. You can choose a different output method later, once you have your system fully operational.

Troubleshooting

Captions Not Displayed

If no captions display on your output, and BYPASSED displays on the LEXI Viewer's front panel screen, the system is in bypass mode. Press the ACTIVE button to begin captioning. Otherwise, the signal bypasses the LEXI Viewer.

Video Not Displayed

If no video displays on your output and the Video LED on the front panel Is lighted, check your video connection (ex. SDI, etc.).

Orange iCap LED Lighted

If the iCap LED on the LEXI Viewer front panel lights orange, your iCap connection is improperly configured. Often, this is due to network wiring or firewall misconfiguration. Reconnect your network cable and confirm you have configured your firewall properly.
