iCap Archives supports caption archive downloads as scenarist closed caption (.scc) files by default. You can access other formats, including WebVTT, TTML, and plain-text transcripts with any compatible conversion tool. You can find conversion tools in the EEG Cloud Caption File Converter tab.
The system creates the archives as the captions run, without corrections to automatically align the captions with your broadcast. If you plan to use your archive files as captions for future video-on-demand, we recommend modifying them with a third-party tool designed for viewing and editing these files. This gives you an opportunity to ensure they display correctly alongside your broadcast, including timing, display features, and other considerations.
