The deployment options for both Alta TS and Alta 2110 are the following:
- A virtual solution that does not require shipping or hardware, with Alta packaged as a virtual machine image (VPN) that we provide, either:
- To be installed and self-hosted (on VirtualBox, Cisco, or Microsoft HyperV controllers) at your on premise data center, running on a host system/computer. The default distribution format is an “OVA” file that we provide.Any number of streams can be supported with a VM, as long as the scaling recommendations from the below are followed:
- TS Scaling Guide
-
2110 Scaling Guide
- In the form of an amazon machine image (AMI) to be installed and run on an Amazon server of any size on your AWS account. Any number of streams can be supported with this option as well (as long as above scaling docs are followed),
- An on-prem solution, where Alta is custom pre-installed on a physical server with front panel controls. There are 2 options:
- An HP ProLiant DL360, high powered rack mount server (shipped with 16 CPU cores, with 2 threads per core, and 6G of RAM, however any additional number of processors/RAM can be installed) with dual power supplies and redundant disk drives,, and has the ability to be used with HP iLO (advanced iLO features must be licensed separately from HP if desired). 2 x 10 Gbps Ethernet SFP are preinstalled. The above scaling recommmendations also apply for this unit.
- The Alta NAP Server, which is proprietory EEG hardware that is a bare metal single rack unit box with 1 power supply and equipped with an 8-core CPU and 32GB of RAM (that is the max that can currently be added). Can support up to four 1Gbps interfaces, but not the 10 Gbps interface. These specs should be kept in mind when it comes to above scaling recommendations.
