Version 3.1.0 Release Notes

AI-Media released software version 3.1.0 for the LEXI Viewer (AV610) on April 17, 2026. This release includes these enhancements and resolved issues.

Enhancements

Video Support

  • Version 3.1.0 includes a significant overhaul of Background Image mode. Caption text now blends directly with your background image. Users can use the Opacity setting as intended. For example, you can set the caption opacity to zero to remove the black box behind captions.
  • With version 3.1.0, users can use the system's front panel LCD to manually configure the AV610 to match the resolution of video input on its AUX port while the system is in Background or Full Screen mode. This feature supports: 1080p50, 1080p60, 1080i50 and 1080i60.
  • We added the Output Frame Rate feature, which allows you to lock the output standard when there is no input video present.
  • This release also allows users to transmit non-1080i60 signals to the LEXI Viewer.
  • LEXI Viewer now includes the Number of Rows setting in Background Image and Decoder display modes. This allows you to match your display's configuration to LEXI, with 2, 3, or 4 rows. Your selection displays on the LCD front panel. The default is row 15.

User Interface

  • The iCap configuration text now explicitly displays audio routing information as Accept iCap source and mirror on Track 4.
  • We removed unsupported mono-mixing options from the web interface.
  • This release also includes improved tooltip descriptions.

Security

  • This release includes updated SSL/TLS libraries, which modernizes the LEXI Viewer's secure HTTP offering in line with other AI-Media products, such as Encoder Pro (HD492) and Encoder Pro Card (HD1492).
  • Version 3.1.0 also adds the same front-panel security modes as the Encoder Pro (HD492).

Performance & Reliability

  • This update includes several back-end changes to improve system reliability. These changes reduce unexpected crashes and reboots, particularly near system startup. As a result, the system is more stable overall.

Resolved Issues

  • We corrected an issue that caused the system not to retain its full-screen captions settings after the system restarts. In particular, captions changed unexpectedly despite being set to 1080i video.
  • We also resolved multiple video-rendering issues that caused some picture or background modes to display the wrong source, briefly drop video, or require a system reboot when input and generator formats did not match.
  • Previously, the number of user-selected fixed base rows in the system did not match the on-screen display. These now match as intended.
  • This release also corrects an issue where settings did not carry over correctly when users switched between Decoder, Picture, Full Screen, and Scaler modes.
