Ai-Media released LEXI DR version 5.2.2 / 5.2.3 on June 4, 2025. This document provides information about this release and includes instructions for upgrading your LEXI DR to version 5.2.2 from version 5.2.1 or 5.2.0. If your system is currently on a version earlier than 5.2.0, follow the upgrade steps in Version 5.2.1 Upgrade before continuing.
Note: LEXI DR version 5.2.2 and 5.2.3 are the same release. Version 5.2.2 identifies upgraded systems, and 5.2.3 identifies factory installed software.
Apply this update only to LEXI DR systems. Do not apply this update to a LEXI Local or any other device.
Highlights
New Features
The DR's Docker network now uses an IP address range that is separate from those of the unit’s main IP address. This prevents overlaps between the unit's IP and its internal Docker network and improves overall network availability by reducing related network addressing conflicts.
Improvements
- The settings page now refreshes automatically after you make a change. This gives you improved access to your DR's status in an effort to speed and improve your overall workflow.

To give you greater visibility into your DR's performance, we have added additional files to the those distributed through the All Logs download option:
all_updates.log/var/log/disaster_recovery - This release also includes a number of back-end updates, which provide improved data security.
Resolved Issues
- This release corrects an issue that disabled DR sync buttons.
- We fixed an error that prevented the system from syncing cloud events.
- An earlier error caused a warning message regarding the usage report to display. We have corrected this, and this message no longer displays unnecessarily.
Upgrading to version 5.2.2
This upgrade brings any LEXI DR currently running software v5.2.1 to a 5.2.2 unit, with all the latest changes. All user settings and logs remain untouched and accessible after the upgrade completes.
Recommendations
- The total upgrade time is around 20 minutes, including the installing language pack. Please schedule the upgrade for a time that is convenient for your site’s operations. More information is in Upgrade Instructions.
- Do not shut down the system while the upgrade is in progress. This could result in a software failure and leave your system unusable.
- Stop all running instances before starting the upgrade, Do not apply the update if there are any instances running.
- Ignore any Fail to Fetch messages that display on the website.
- Ignore any LCD messages.
- Be aware that the system reboots on its own as it progresses through the upgrade. This is normal and expected.
- After the system reboots, perform a hard refresh your web browser. Otherwise, the DR may not display the latest changes, which could impede the update process. To hard refresh:
- Google Chrome: press Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
- Safari (Mac only): press Opt+Cmd+E, and then press Cmd+R.
- Microsoft Edge / Internet Explorer (Windows only): press Ctrl+F5.
- Firefox: press Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
Upgrade Instructions
Follow these steps to upgrade to version 5.2.2.
Note: If your system is currently on a version earlier than 5.2.0, follow the upgrade steps in Version 5.2.1 Upgrade before continuing.
- Stop all instances running on your LEXI DR.
- If necessary, install the pre-update:
- Your current version is 5.2.0; download and apply the pre-update file.
- Your current version is 5.2.1: A pre-update is not needed. Continue with the next step.
- Download and install the version 5.2.2 upgrade:
- File size of the installer is approximately 800 MB.
- This upgrade takes approximately 5 minutes to complete.
- Your unit changes to version 5.2.2.
- If you do not currently have a language package installed (for example if you are upgrading from version 5.2,0), download and apply the version 5.2.2 Language Package.
- This version includes English and Spanish.
- File size of the installer is approximately 10 GB.
- This upgrade takes 10-15 minutes to complete.
