Alta deployments are customizable to suit your needs. Ai-Media distributes Alta as as a virtual solution, which does not require you to have your own hardware, or pre-installed on an on-site server.
With Alta packaged as a virtual machine image (VM) that we provide, the deployment options for Alta TS and Alta 2110 are:
- Installed and self-hosted (on VMWare or VirtualBox controllers) at your on-site data center, running on a host system. The default distribution format is a .ova file that Ai-Media provides. This VM option supports any number of streams as long as you follow the scaling recommendations in Additional Documentation.
- An Amazon machine image (AMI) installed and run on an Amazon server of any size on your AWS account. This scenario supports any number of streams, after following the scaling recommendations in Additional Documentation.
We can also deliver Alta to you on a proprietary, high-performance HP ProLiant DL360 rack-mountable server, which is scalable and customizable for your needs. This server includes four, standard, 1-Gb Ethernet ports and two 10-Gbps Ethernet fiber SFPs.
Note: HP provides support and a three-year warranty for the ProLiant DL360 server hardware, while AI-Media supports Alta and other software. You must license your server with HP (www.hp.com) to activate your warranty.
